Silent Cry Inc is a nonprofit organization that takes a holistic approach to aftercare from mass incarceration, gun violence, and trauma. We understand that the quality of care is the most significant factor influencing changes. We support affected children and families during and after a challenging period. Our mission is to provide holistic support for children and families who are impacted by mass incarceration, gun violence, and trauma. We use our skill sets and experiences to continuously tap into what is happening in the community so that we can provide the highest quality of care possible.

  • BEYOND YOUR BLOCK

    Beyond Your Block is a Program that endeavors to expose children and youth in our communities to places beyond their respective neighborhoods. Participants are taken on trips on day trips to places outside of their everyday environments within the city of New York.

    HEALING THROUGH PAIN

    Healing through Pain is a tribute to parents and siblings who have lost a loved one to street violence. Through therapeutic discussions and activities, we are able to help those in mourning to heal.

  • I Am Beautiful is a monthly workshop for formerly incarcerated women. Our workshops include self-development activities as well as the provision of resources to assist in aftercare and release from incarceration

  • In 2022, Silent Cry, Inc acquired a parcel of farmland in the state of Michigan through the Flourishing Fund Grant. This land will be used to provide facilities for two key programs.

Mental Health Outreach

We provide counseling and resources for formerly and present incarcerated individuals with mental health needs post-release and those affected by gun violence.

It is a special event organized for children of incarcerated parents and formerly incarcerated individuals. It's a day of restoration, building on the possibilities, and changing the narrative. The event features vision boards, panel discussions, makeup, and wardrobe sessions.
